A day with Don: moving and T.S.S. books

In what is quickly becoming a Worzala brothers tradition, John and I again visited our friend Don over Thanksgiving break. And, in what is also becoming a tradition, I'm sharing the highlights of the evening with you, my faithful readers.

We started the night off by helping Don move to his latest home. Moving since his return from college has also become quite the tradition for Donald'in the past four years, he has lived in four different places.

Don on his former residence: \I think there's a dead body in the wall, but I don't want to go and look for it.""

So now Don lives with his dad, Mike, which is great'except that his dad lives on Day Street. Not that there's anything wrong with Day Street, other than the drug dealing problem and the occasional fatality. But at least Don's back with his dad, and that's great, I think.

Mike on Don's sanity: ""You seriously have some sort of mental illness. What is all this stuff?""

Don on Mike's questions: ""Dad, all the boxes are labeled. Just look.""

But seriously, Don's dad seems like a very nice man, who I might add, also has a large collection of stuff lying around his house. And don't take his questioning of Don's sanity as a bad thing. After all, Don does it all the time.

Don on his own sanity: ""Seriously though, when I bought all those cleats? You guys should have had me locked up.""

So I think Don will do very well in his new environment, even if he will have to park his Wizzers in the basement from now on.

Helping Don settle into home number five was not the only thing on our agenda that night, however, so after helping move some more of his stuff to his new location, the three of us headed off to visit a friend at his work and then to Barnes & Noble looking for adventure.

Don on Barnes & Noble: ""We have to go in there. We'll find plenty of chicks there.""

Sadly but not surprisingly, we found neither adventure nor ""chicks"" at Barnes & Noble, though Don did pick up a book of unexplained phenomena in northeastern Wisconsin. From there, we hit the new Game World complex to shoot pool before stopping at Perkins for a late night meal. While eating, we were treated to a reading from Don's new book.

Don on his book: ""This book is T.S.S.' totally super scary! Don't read this book without a night light! I could read this book on TV and say I'm T.S.S.S.'totally super scary Steve! With my totally super scary book!""

Topping all of the night's quotes, however, had to be at Perkins with Don's ""That girl is hot!"", which doesn't sound like much except for the fact that the girl heard Don say this. She quickly spun to face us and her reaction was a look that fell between confusion and sniffing garbage. We get that look a lot when we're out with Don for some strange reason.

So with our remaining dignity, we packed up and left Perkins. After dropping Don off at his new home, John and I drove to our home, discussing how our lives are always a little more exciting when Don is involved

Don on future plans: ""This summer, you don't have to have a Wizzer'you can have a moped. It doesn't matter. We're going as a pack through the Appalachians.""

And yes, Ramit and Ryan can come too, because they're such cool guys.

OUT!
