As dead bodies continue to be pulled from the rubble in New York, the burned and broken bodies of a family were pulled from the rubble that once was their home in Afghanistan. These eight people were burned alive when several U.S. cruise missiles smashed into their village.
Members of the Bush Cabinet, mainly former defense and oil industry CEOs, claim their anti-terrorism mission can be both military and humanitarian. However, the bombing is prohibiting critical U.N. food distribution into the country. According to the United Nations, more than six million people are expected to die of starvation over the winter if the United States continues its war campaign.
