Failed agenda posting forces SSFC cancellation

Due to a logistical mistake, the Student Services Finance Committee's Monday meeting was cancelled, pushing back the agenda for student organization budget hearings and decisions. Scheduled hearings and decisions for Monday will be heard at Wednesday's meeting.

SSFC chair Lamont Smith said the meeting was cancelled due to a 'logistical mishap' on his part. According to SSFC bylaws, a meeting agenda must be posted at least 24 hours in advance, and since this was not done, the meeting could not be carried out.

SSFC Vice Chair Roman Patzner said he was disappointed at the meeting's cancellation.

'I think its unfortunate for the groups who were responsible and ready,' he said.

But even though this will slow things, it will not have too much impact, Patzner said.

'It's only going to push us back a little bit,' he said. 'It shouldn't be a big deal in terms of the scheme of things.'
