Committees begin candidate selection

Two search-and-screen committees are taking shape as UW-Madison looks to begin compiling and then narrowing a list of qualified candidates for the positions of university's provost and dean of international studies.

While the search group for the international studies dean has been completed, the national search-and-screen committee for the provost still needs two students. Students applications are still being accepted committee posts.

David Trubek is resigning from his position as international studies dean July 31 to head the Center for World Affairs and the Global Economy at UW-Madison. Former Provost John Wiley left his position to become chancellor of the university Jan. 1.
