Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine as Russian tanks poured over the eastern Ukrainian border early Thursday. Explosions from bombings of civilian centers and airports were reported in major cities across Ukraine including the capital Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 137 people had died and hundreds more were injured within the first day of the invasion.

Under an agreement between the Potawatomi tribe and Governor Tony Evers, a Milwaukee hotel and casino has introduced a proposal to offer sports betting to the public. The Forest County Potawatomi will be able to legally offer event wagering on sports and non-sports events as a result.

A new bipartisan marijuana proposal was proposed last week, aiming to change penalties for possession of marijuana. Wisconsin state law currently holds that first time marijuana possession is a misdemeanor with a fine of up to $1,000 and up to six months in jail.
