After two record setting games, all eyes are on junior forward Nate Reuvers as the Badgers enter their third game of the season against McNeese State Wednesday night. Last week, Wisconsin (1-1) defeated Eastern Illinois at home after a huge showing from Reuvers, who recorded his second career double-double consisting of 14 points, a season-high 14 rebounds, and nine blocks, which tied the school record. Reuvers’ performance earned him his first career Big Ten Player of the Week accolade, and improved his average to 18 points, 10 points, and 6.5 blocks a game thus far. In the game prior against St. Mary’s, Reuvers scored a career high of 22 points while also securing six rebounds and four blocks.
The Wisconsin Badgers (2-0) looked to continue their hot start after a dominant exhibition game over Whitewater, and a hard-fought 13 point victory over North Florida in their first league game of the season.

If there is one thing that each player said when looking to Iowa-Wisconsin, they continually referred to the matchup as old school football.
The Wisconsin Badgers are a well-disciplined, well-prepared, and well-coached football team. The coaching staff has a plan and they stick to it. But, on afternoons like two Saturdays ago in Columbus, Ohio, none of that mattered.
Wisconsin (1-1) took care of business in its home opener against Eastern Illinois (0-2), taking down the Panthers 65-52. The evening began with a pregame video paying tribute to Howard Moore and his family, who experienced the tragic loss of his wife and daughter in an automobile accident earlier this year. In order to honor Coach Moore and his family, the Badgers have adopted the slogan “Do Moore, Be Moore, 4 Moore,” which appears on the team’s warm up uniforms. During the lineup announcement, Coach Moore’s son Jerell suited up in number 34 as the sixth starter and was introduced along with the rest of the team.
With just over 11 minutes left to play in the first half, sophomore forward Kobe King brought the 17,106 fans in attendance at the Kohl Center to their feet with an emphatic one-handed dunk over Eastern Illinois forward Jordan Skipper-Brown.

Iowa’s season seemed to be spinning out of control after back-to-back losses against Michigan and Penn State, despite their hot 4-0 start to the year. In their last two games however, the Iowa Hawkeyes (3-2 Big Ten, 6-2 overall) managed to come away with a couple of important wins over Northwestern and Purdue, and regained their momentum for a matchup against the struggling Wisconsin Badgers (3-2 Big Ten, 6-2 overall).
The Wisconsin Badgers (2-0 Big Ten, 5-0 overall) offense was completely shut down last Saturday, only managing seven points in a 7-38 blowout.
