Audience members needed for Big Ten Network shows

By: UW Dietetics and Nutrition Club /The Daily Cardinal  - September 20, 2007

The Big Ten Network is seeking audience members for six tapings of “Wisconsin Reflections,” a show taped at Wisconsin Public Television in Vilas Hall.

The shows, which make up the university component of the BTN that is not sports programming, will feature how the university influences life experiences of UW-Madison alumni and friends.

The first of the three episodes, taping on Sept. 24, will start at 9 a.m. Speakers will include Kit Saunders-Nordeen, the first director of Wisconsin women’s athletics; Paula Bonner, the president and CEO of the Wisconsin Alumni Association; and Kitt Reuter-Foss, a nationally recognized mezzo-soprano.

Tapings on Sept. 27 will feature AT&T Wisconsin president Scott VanderSanden, Hollywood screenwriter and producer Jim Hirsch and former Wisconsin Athletic Director Pat Richter.

Students interested in attending the show’s live taping can e-mail audience@uc.wisc.edu.

The BTN is accessible on campus at Memorial Union and Union South, in residence halls on ResNet television and live-stream via the university’s DATN when using a direct connect Ethernet cord.
