Electronic Data Systems seems like a phantom company. It is a
company that many do not remember, or even know its purpose. This
could be because its Super Bowl commercials usually involve small,
cute animals that are the only part anyone remembers.

Bob Dole walking down a beach with a faithful dog at his heels
usually brings to mind his endorsement of a certain product. Sure
enough, Dole went at it again with this ad, and he brought his
stoic voice center stage. He introduces the audience to a product
that has made him feel youthful and vigorous again. He calls it his
'faithful, little blue friend.' What is this amazing product? It is
a refreshing, blue can of Pepsi. The cola even has the former
presidential hopeful doing a back flip to impress some frolicking
ladies. Let's see a certain blue pill do that. Irony like that
scores this commercial a spot on the list.

Anheuser-Busch has managed to live up to the hype of its
commercials and captured four spots on this list, but it
surprisingly does not reach the top. This does not take away the
appeal of this runner-up ad. This commercial seems clich?? at the
beginning, but works up to a hilarious conclusion. It starts with a
group going sky diving. The first jumper excitedly leaps, but the
second needs a little bit of encouragement. The instructor pulls
out a pack of Bud Light, and tosses it out of the plane in hopes
that the nervous participant will follow. Unfortunately for the
divers, the beer draws out an unexpected person. Much to the
surprise of the others, the parachute-less pilot runs off the plane
jumping for the beer. The gag seems simple, but still pays off and
brings a smile to a viewer's face.

It seems almost every entertainment news team has played the
popular Kevin Bacon game. So what does Bacon do when someone asks
him for ID and he has forgotten it? He uses the game that probably
counts for more of his fame than his movies.

These winners might not be the strongest, the flashiest or the
most expensive, but they have the heart. That is why Reebok's
'Terry Tate: Office Linebacker' takes the top spot on the list.
There is something so enjoyable about seeing Tate run around an
office tackling employees for making long distance calls, playing
games and not putting cover sheets on their TPS reports.

In 1999, the NFL Replay System was put into place. Budweiser
released a follow-up to show that not even Clydesdale football was
safe from play reviews. In the new ad, the Clydesdales stand
impatiently as a zebra looks into a replay monitor. The play he
reviews keeps rewinding as the monitor clicks to show his multiple
viewings, much to the dismay of the horses and two human
spectators. One looks over to the other and says, 'This referee's a
jackass,' leading the other to reply, 'No, I believe that's a
zebra.'

Every year millions of fans watch football's biggest game.
Football fans are not the only ones who watch. As casual fans park
themselves on a sofa to catch a glimpse of what some say are the
best TV commercials of the year, major companies throw their best
efforts into the ring, to capture the attention of this audience
with classic commercials. There have been plenty of great Super
Bowl commercials over the decades, and the last five years have
shown audiences their fair share of classics. Here are the top 10
best Super Bowl commercials of the last five years:

Hearing the words 'please hand me my shuttlecock' uttered on
campus would probably get a few chuckles anywhere except one place,
a UW-Madison Badminton Club practice.

One of the best parts of the movie \Minority Report"" is when a
group of cops track down Tom Cruise's fugitive character. ""Don't
run,"" they say to him in a cornered alley, but of course Tom comes
back with, ""Everybody runs,"" and proceeds to make one hell of an
escape for a crazy 5'11"" scientologist.
