The whole mess of what happened with Brett Favre last summer is
past me, and frankly, I swore off ever writing about it. I am ok
with how things turned out, I think Packer fans as a whole either
think the same way or have come to terms with it, and for as bad as
the whole situation got in August, the end result was reasonable
for all parties.

Losing the top two scorers from the record-setting 2007 squad,
last year's Wisconsin men's basketball team was not projected to
achieve much in the way of national recognition and conference
supremacy. But a dedicated batch of talent led by then-seniors
Brian Butch, Greg Stiemsma, Tanner Bronson and Michael Flowers
defied expectations and led the Badgers to a 2008 Big Ten title and
a trip to the Sweet 16 in March.

Last week, Trevor Wikre found himself faced with an unusual,
important and somewhat gruesome situation. During football practice
at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Co., the senior offensive
lineman got his pinky caught up in the jersey of a teammate during
a sweep play and screwed it up pretty bad - to the point where the
bone was sticking out of the skin.

The college football Bowl Championship Series is a funny thing.
Or, I guess if you cheer for a team that is not in a BCS

Whether you like him or not, comedian Frank Caliendo does a
pretty good impression of John Madden. He has sketches where he
rambles in Madden's voice for as much as 25 seconds straight
without ever speaking an audible word - and still, it sounds like
something that would actually come out of the aged commentator's
mouth.
