In their first conference game of the season, the Wisconsin Badgers set the tone with a 85-73 home victory over the Northwestern Wildcats.
All John Blackwell needed was 12 points Wednesday to reach the 1,000 point mark in his decorated Wisconsin career. Instead, the junior put the Badgers on his back, scoring 26 points en route to a 85-73 victory over Northwestern.
As winners of five straight, Wisconsin women’s basketball faced their first big tests Thanksgiving weekend, losing 65-56 to No. 13 Ole Miss and 69-50 to James Madison in the Daytona Beach Classic. The Badgers are now 5-3 on the season.
