Head coach Bo Ryan reaches 300 career wins for Wisconsin
The Badgers (11-7 Big Ten, 22-8 overall) traveled to the Great Lakes state for a pair of matches this weekend, coming out with two solid wins against ranked opponents.

The Wisconsin volleyball team returned home this weekend to take on Nebraska Friday night and Iowa on Sunday. The No. 16 Badgers lost to Nebraska 3-1, but came back to defeat Iowa in a three game sweep.
After a stunning loss to unranked Illinois on Sunday, the Badgers are looking to kick off the second half of the Big Ten season with a bang.
As the fans filed into the UW Fieldhouse Sunday for the No. 16 Badgers’ (6-4 Big Ten, 17-5 overall) matchup with the Illinois Fighting Illini (5-5, 9-11), there was considerably more orange than red. On a weekend where Halloween took center-stage, this difference in fan support seemed to be a bad omen, as the Illini knocked out the Badgers 3-1.
For the first time since 2007, the Wisconsin volleyball team took down No. 7 Minnesota 18-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-20 last night at the UW Fieldhouse. The Badgers (6-3 Big Ten, 17-4 overall) have surpassed their conference win total from 2012.
Women’s Hockey
After being swept by No. 16 Michigan at home on Friday night, the Badger volleyball team was looking to bounce back against No. 5 Michigan State on Sunday.
Wisconsin’s volleyball team fell to No. 16 Michigan on Friday’s match at the UW Fieldhouse. The Wolverines swept the Badgers 28-26, 25-20, and 25-21, dropping Wisconsin (15-4 overall, 4-3 Big Ten) to fifth place in the conference and tied with Northwestern.
After a four-match stretch on the road, the Wisconsin volleyball team (4-2 Big Ten, 15-3 overall) returns to the UW Field House this weekend to take on No. 16 Michigan (2-4, 12-5) and No. 5 Michigan State (6-0, 17-1).
Women’s Hockey
Despite being down after the first set, the No. 19 Wisconsin volleyball team (4-1 Big Ten, 15-2 overall) came back and defeated No. 14 Ohio State (2-4, 14-4) 3-2 in Columbus Friday night. The win allowed UW to maintain third place in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin volleyball (3-1 Big Ten, 14-2 overall) has two road games this weekend, Friday at No. 14 Ohio State and Saturday at No. 4 Penn State. These are the final two games of the Badgers’ four game road trip. It’s also their first road trip of the conference season.
