The Wisconsin Men’s Hockey team is off to one of the worst starts in program history with an abysmal 2-6-0 record in the opening eight games and a worse 0-4-0 record on home ice.

Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Music is offering a variety of exciting concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Union South this month. In the past, artists featured in this concert series included 100 Gecs and Fun. This is a great opportunity to find an artist to brag about seeing live “before they were big.” The shows are available for free to all Badgers hanging out at Union South on Nov. 11 and 18.

Badgers split series against Duluth, lose 9-game winning streak

The Wisconsin Badgers traveled to AMSOIL Arena to play the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on Friday and Saturday. The team battled in both games, going 1-1 in the series. On Friday, the Badgers lost their nine-game winning streak, before fighting back to win on Saturday.

Wisconsin squanders momentum with back-to-back Penn State losses

On the heels of a potentially season-altering sweep of No. 10 Minnesota Duluth, the Wisconsin Badgers (2-6-0, 0-4-0 Big Ten) returned home looking to build upon their newfound success. The No. 16 Penn State Nittany Lions (8-0-0, 2-0-0) had other plans, sweeping the weekend-series in dominant fashion.

Budding serial killer The Backhand Butcher, nicknamed after the form forensics indicate he stabs with, found this out the hard way.

Badgers sweep Bemidji State, win ninth straight

The Badgers traveled to Bemidji State to play the Beavers on Thursday and Friday. They swept the series with no trouble, totaling their ninth straight win of the season. Kami Cronish allowed no goals Thursday night and only one was allowed Friday night by Jane Gervais. 

Badgers finally claim wins in weekend away series

Though only four games into the season, the pressure was mounting this weekend for the Wisconsin Badgers (2-4-0, 0-2-0) to put together a complete game and secure their elusive first win. They accomplished this and more in a much-needed series sweep of No. 10 Minnesota Duluth (2-4-0, 0-0-0 NCHC) at Amsoil Arena. 

Q&A: UW GSCC discusses fostering community space for LGBTQ+ students

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC) works to support and foster community among UW’s trans and queer students. The organization planned a day-long community-building event and trans film festival on Oct. 24, the same time as conservative commentator Matt Walsh’s talk at Memorial Union. GSCC organized several other initiatives throughout the fall to support LBGTQ+ students on campus.

Wisconsin men’s hockey displays potential, areas to improve

The Wisconsin Men’s Hockey team started their season 0-4 after losing their opening two series, one against Big Ten opponent Ohio State and the other against former Western Collegiate Hockey Association rival St. Cloud State. Despite losing their opening four games this year, the team displayed some potential, especially against No. 8 St. Cloud. 

Wisconsin continues strong conference play with two home wins

The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team finished their away series with a sweep in Iowa on Friday, Oct. 14, taking the match 27-25, 25-15 and 25-19. The Badgers dominated the Hawkeyes – holding them to a hitting percentage of less than .180.
