Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine as Russian tanks poured over the eastern Ukrainian border early Thursday. Explosions from bombings of civilian centers and airports were reported in major cities across Ukraine including the capital Kyiv. The Wisconsin Badgers closed out the 2021 campaign with a 20-13 victory over Arizona State in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. It was a rollercoaster of a season for the Badgers, who bounced back from a miserable, 1-3 start and strung together seven consecutive wins. They looked destined for the Big Ten Championship Game until losing a winnable game in Minnesota and finishing with an 8-4 record.
