Cancer is a very difficult illness to treat and many people die from it despite tireless efforts by clinical teams. The UW Carbone Cancer Center has taken a progressive step towards a more effective treatment option for adult lymphoma with the recently FDA-certified CAR T-cell treatment. UW Carbone previously made a headline last August with Kymriah, a similar CAR T-cell therapy for young adults with relapsed acute lymphocytic leukemia.

When it was announced on Jan. 17, 2017, that the iconic video application was going to be laid to rest, hearts were broken worldwide. While millions of people were now able to escape the vomit-inducing ignorance of individuals such as Logan Paul, Nash Grier and Jacob Sartorius with much more ease, the detrimental effects of the death of Vine left no part of our earth untouched.

“Shadow of the Colossus” is the best kind of miserable — it paints a painful picture of a cold and empty world that just doesn’t care anymore. It’s a beautiful world, but any attempt of building something here fell into decay long ago. What little semi-intelligent life you do come across must be killed in the name of a “rescue the damsel” quest that is evil and doomed from the beginning.

What’s with brands being something that people actually identify with? I totally understand that brands are useful and even important to how we consume things. I myself make purchase decisions based on brand names all of the time, and that seems totally normal to me. But I really don’t get why people wear brands on their t-shirts and stick brand-logo stickers on their laptops. Why are they giving these companies free advertising? What’s the point of identifying yourself based on the things that you consume?
