The Wisconsin women’s hockey team (28-10-2) edged out the Ohio State Buckeyes (33-5-2) to win the 2023 NCAA Championship on Sunday, 1-0. The game was low-scoring, yet thrilling, with both teams giving it their absolute all in the final match of the season.

The Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey team (28-10-2) prevailed once again in the NCAA Tournament — this time against the rival Minnesota Gophers (30-6-3). After losing to Minnesota earlier in the postseason in a game that would have sent them to the WCHA title showdown, this win was especially sweet for Wisconsin.

The No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey team (27-10-2) took on the No. 3 Colgate Raiders (36-6-2) to decide who advances to next week’s Frozen Four games. The Badgers took the 4-2 upset win and will move on.

Wisconsin was able to take home the win Saturday in overtime. Yet on Sunday, the Badgers were unable to maintain their lead, resulting in a devastating 3-1 loss.

This past weekend, Wisconsin traveled to Ridder Arena in Minneapolis for their final road trip of the regular season. Friday night, Wisconsin earned the extra point in a shootout, from a 2-2 tie. Saturday, the Badgers won in a high scoring duel, 7-5.
