In their first series of February, No. 1 Wisconsin (14-2-1-0 WCHA, 24-2-1 overall) stomped unranked St. Cloud State (1-17-1-0 WCHA, 5-19-4 overall) 11-1 at LaBahn Arena in Madison. They dominated this weekend’s series, after an overtime win by Wisconsin Friday night. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1-1 this season before today’s win by the Badgers.

Wisconsin (5-3 Big Ten, 12-7 overall) took care of business at home — as head coach Greg Gard earned Big Ten win number 50 — after defeating Nebraska (2-6 Big Ten, 7-12 overall) by a final of 82-68. However, Coach Gard was not the only one with a record setting night; Junior forward Nate Reuvers reached 127 career blocks, passing Rashard Griffith and vaunting himself into fourth place for career blocks in Wisconsin history. The record breaking didn’t end there, as the Badgers also set a new school record with 18 made three-pointers in the game.

Wisconsin (4-3 Big Ten, 11-7 overall) looks to advance its winning streak over Nebraska (2-5 Big Ten, 7-11 overall) when the Cornhuskers travel to the Kohl Center Tuesday night. The Badgers are currently 16-14 all-time against Nebraska, but have won 10 of the last 14 matchups.

For a class of seniors and team that has achieved so much, it’s tough to watch the 2019-20’ Badgers fall short of putting the ultimate icing on the cake and coming away with a win in the Rose Bowl. The script that was followed was familiar for Wisconsin, and one that spelled trouble for them earlier in the season as well.
