UWPD issues all clear after ‘suspicious package’ found at Enzyme Institute

A suspicious package, found near the Enzyme Institute at 1710 University Ave, was investigated by police and deemed safe 45 minutes later.

The University of Wisconsin Police Department UWPD issued a Wisc alert at 9:30 a.m. for a suspicious package found near the Enzyme Institute at 1710 University Ave and declared the area safe at 10:15 a.m. At the time, they urged students to avoid the area around the Enzyme Institute. 

The all-clear alert was given 45 minutes later, at 10:15 a.m., and the area was declared safe to return to.
