A man was shot with a pellet gun while walking on the 400 block of West Gorham Street early Sunday morning.
A 19-year-old man was walking in an alley between West Gorham and West Johnson streets at approximately 12:17 a.m. when he heard a “pop” and felt a small object hit his thigh, according to Madison Police Department Lt. Sherrie Strand.
The victim said in a police report he noticed a hole in his jeans and his leg bleeding but did not see or hear anyone in the area when he was shot.
Strand said the victim suffered a puncture wound the size of a pea, which appeared to have been caused by a pellet or BB.
The man did not seek medical attention, according to police.
A vehicle parked near the alley had a broken window and several pellets inside, according to the police report.
