Seven protesters from Wisconsin, one of which is a UW-Madison student, were arrested in Washington, D.C., Wednesday after demonstrating with Occupy protesters, according to Dane 101.
Four were taken voluntarily into custody early Wednesday during a Take Back the Capitol protest and three demonstrators, including UW junior Thi Le, were arrested for lying down and blocking traffic later in the day.
Around 150 Wisconsinites largely associated with Occupy movements across the state boarded a bus to D.C early Monday, joining thousands of protesters from across the country to participate in the week-long Take Back the Capitol action.
Le was jailed Oct. 10 after refusing to sign a bond agreement that would have made it illegal for her to commit administrative code violations.
