U.S. News and World Report released a series of national graduate school rankings Friday. UW-Madison placed in many of them. Among them:
Schools:
—The School of Business ranks 31st. Last year it was ranked 37th.
—The School of Education ranks seventh. Last year it was ranked ninth.
—The College of Engineering ranks 15th—the same as last year.
—The School of Medicine ranks 28th. Last year it was ranked 26th.
—The School of Law ranks 32nd—the same as last year.
Services:
—The Library and Information Studies was ranks 11th.
Departments:
—Biological Sciences ranks 12th—the same ranking it had in 2002.
—Chemistry ranks seventh. In 2002, it was ranked eighth.
—Computer Science ranks ninth. In 2002, it was ranked 10th.
—Earth Sciences were ranks 15th. Geology was ranked ninth.
—Mathematics ranks 14th. In 2002, it was ranked 13th.
—Physics ranks 16th. In 2002, it had the same ranking.
