Dane County Executive and attorney general nominee Kathleen Falk rejected her opponent Peg Lautenschlager's request for a clean and ethical campaign challenge.\
Falk refused to limit campaign expenditures because she has received heavy contributions from companies and corporations subject to the Department of Justice enforcement actions, according to a statement.
Lautenschlager's campaign cited examples of Falk's unethical campaign contributions such as Great Wolf Resort, whom Falk received ""thousands of dollars from."" The company is currently facing an insider trader lawsuit in Wisconsin's Western District Federal Court, the statement said.
Dan Bachhuber, campaign manager for Lautenschlager, questioned Falk's motives for refusing to further scrutinize her campaign contributors or enact cap expenditures. Bachhubber said the answer was ""simply because in her world, money is all that matters.""
