Eden Brock is beginning to resemble the dominating pitcher she was a year ago.
The junior won for the sixth straight time and earned her second complete game shutout of the season, holding Illinois-Chicago to just two hits as the University of Wisconsin softball team (18-16) secured a 2-0 road victory Wednesday night at Flames Field.
Sophomore Lynn Anderson drove in a run in the second inning, and senior Kaitlin Reiss added one of her own in the third to lead UW's offense.
The Flames (17-26) Brittany McIntyre went just 2.1 innings, allowing both runs on five hits and two walks. McIntyre fell to 5-11 on the year.
After a scoreless first, Anderson got the Badgers on the board first with a base hit to left-centerfield to drive in fellow sophomore Joey Daniels, recording her seventh RBI of the season.
Reiss added the insurance run in the next inning with her bases-loaded RBI to left field that brought home junior Sam Polito, her 29th run this year.
Brock held UIC hitless for the final three innings.
The Badgers will stay on the road this weekend, taking on Indiana Friday and Saturday, and Purdue Sunday.
