Two Madison taxi drivers were assaulted and robbed in separate incidents late Wednesday night.
According to Madison police, in both incidents a pair of black males entered the cabs, assaulted the drivers and took off with a small amount of money.
One driver received multiple facial fractures after being attacked just after 11 p.m. The driver in the other robbery also received facial injuries. None of the four suspects is in custody.
According to Badger Cab General Manager Roy Stone, Wednesday's incidents were the first of their kind in Madison since a string of armed robberies in November 2005.
