Conference play not pleasant for Wisconsin women

After traveling to Ann Arbor, Mich and getting swept by the Wolverines, things did not get any easier for the Badgers Sunday. Wisconsin (0-2 Big Ten, 3-11) overall was beaten 5-2 by the surging Michigan State Spartans (1-2, 10-5) in East Lansing, Mich.

Though the Badgers failed to win the doubles point after losing the top two matches, freshmen Elizabeth Carpenter and Erin Jobe were victorious in an 11-9 match at the No. 3 slot.

The Badgers mustered only two singles wins Sunday. Sophomore Chelsea Nusslock defeated junior Pascale Schnitzer in the No. 2 match. Though Schnizter came back, Nusslock closed the door winning 6-3, 4-6. 6-3. At the No. 6 spot, Sophomore Morgan Tuttle put forth a dominating performance winning 6-4, 6-0 over MSU's Marianne Evans.
