This week's winner: A Croatian man, trying to make a tool for chimney cleaning, decided if he could attach a brush to a chain and weigh it down that would do the trick. Unfortunately, he overlooked the fact that his weight was also a live hand grenade.
He turned on his welding apparatus and began to connect the grenade to the chain, and it exploded as the metal heated up. The force of the explosion killed the man instantly, blasting shrapnel through the walls of the shed and shattering the windshield of a Mercedes. The chimney was untouched.
