Like most wheat ales, this seasonal beer from Michigan gets better after a few sips.
While the winter theme is not entirely apparent from the flavor, the label proudly displays a sunny morning in the snow-covered northern pine barrens.
The flavor is difficult to describe, but a layer of the ale coats the mouth for an extra-thick aftertaste!
Ironically this beer seems like a better choice for a hot summer day on the lake, rather than a cold and snowy sled ride. The brewery's claim of 'A seasonally nuanced wheat ale that is both sylish and refreshing,' is therefore only two-thirds correct. Winter White is not so seasonally nuanced.
On the bright side, you will look stylish while drinking your unseasonably refreshing beer.
