The state Legislature will hold an extraordinary session the first week of December to address the Job Creation Act of 2003 according to an announcement by state Legislative leaders Thursday. 

 

 

 

The state Legislature will finish its last regular floor period this week, having taken up more bills on job creation and economic development than any other issue. According to Assembly Speaker John Gard, R-Peshtigo, legislative leadership hopes to accomplish even more in this area before the end of the year.

The special session will be limited to the Job Creation Act and other specific economic development bills.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The city's winter parking rules go into effect this Saturday at 1 a.m. To comply, drivers must park their vehicles on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd-numbered days of the week and on the even-numbered side on even-numbered days.  

 

 

 

The rules apply from 1 to 7 a.m. except in the snow-emergency zone. More information is available at http://www.ci.madison.wi.us.
