After delaying budget decisions for the Multicultural Student Coalition Monday, the Student Services Finance Committee tabled their budget again Wednesday night.
Open forum before the SSFC meeting lasted more than an hour, with several students speaking in support of MCSC. Many students expressed concern over the hostile atmosphere Monday night.
\[Monday's] meeting was one of the worst that I have ever seen in my three years,"" MCSC executive staff member Theresa Viduarri said.
SSFC Chair Aaron Werner said there was a noticeable improvement in the atmosphere Wednesday.
MCSC's budget was cut by approximately $43,000 in Wednesday's meeting, after already receiving cuts of more than $170,000 Monday night.
SSFC approved the budget for Polygon, an organization for students in the College of Engineering. The budget was cut by $400 and approved for $6,800, after some SSFC members said they were suspicious the budget had been changed in anticipation of cuts.
The Student Judiciary presented their budget request at the meeting. The hearing for SSFC's own budget was delayed until Monday.
