A UW-Madison Medical School graduate will get a chance to shine this weekend as she competes with 50 other contestants in the annual Miss America Pageant.
Tina Marie Sauerhammer of Green Bay is a former Miss Madison and current Miss Wisconsin. She will compete in Atlantic City, N.J. this Saturday.
Sauerhammer is the youngest graduate of the UW-Medical School and only the second physician to compete in the Miss America pageant.

She won the second round of preliminary talent competitions Wednesday with a performance of Camille Saint-Saens' \The Swan"" on the cello.
The 2003 Miss America Pageant will air at 7 p.m. this Saturday on WKOW-TV channel 27 in Madison.
