Four giant squid have died off the coast of Spain in the last few days, prompting the Spanish marine protection agency CEPESMA to blame the deaths on shockwaves from tests carried out by the Spanish navy, CNN reported.
Three of the squid have washed onto the northern Asturias coast of Spain and a fourth is still floating in the ocean.
A leading scientist on the navy's ship Hesperides denied the claims.
