Winter parking restrictions for the city of Madison will take effect at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15. Residents must park their cars on the odd-numbered side of the street starting Thursday evening.
According to the restrictions, cars must be parked on the odd- numbered side of the street on odd days and on the even-numbered side of the street on even days.
The rules only apply to the Downtown/Isthmus Snow Emergency Zone, which runs from Park and Proudfit Streets to Thornton Avenue and the Yahara River, during a snow emergency.
