The Wisconsin women's softball team will see some changes on the roster this season.
Head Coach Karen Gallagher added Brandee McArthur and Tammy Lohmann as assistant coaches to replace DeeDee Weiman and Ali Viola. Both Viola and Weiman left UW-Madison to pursue other career options.
McArthur will serve as the pitching coach. She previously suited up for the University of the Pacific softball team. She then took a coaching position at Kentucky.
Lohmann graduated from Arizona State University, where she was named ASU Softball Freshman of the Year. She then played for the Ladies Professional Baseball League with the Arizona Peppers. In addition, she competed with the Arizona Angels in the USA Women's Baseball National Tournament prior to coaching at Bradley University.
