Students can now check course evaluations online.
The Associated of Students of Madison compiled the results of the evaluations from spring 2001 classes across campus and posted them on the ASM Web site Tuesday.
Courses are rated on a one to five scale, with five being the highest. Criteria include how interesting a class is, along with how it is presented.
According to ASM Chair Jessica Miller, members had ""very minimal problems"" during the process of collecting this information. Last year, ASM did not have access to all departments' evaluations and threatened a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act. After much wrangling and administrative pressure, departments complied.
Miller said she had already gotten a lot of feedback related to the course evaluations posting. ""It's probably one of the more popular services we offer to students,"" she said.
