Stanislas Wawrinka’s run through this year’s Australian Open was impressive and included a dramatic, five-set win over defending champion Novak Djokovic. Wawrinka fought through heat, and a stacked slate of opponents in order to win the tournament. His final win even came against world No. 1, Rafael Nadal.

It's impossible to predict how a year will turn out. That's particularly true in video games, where projects are often shrouded in secrecy until they're revealed at various trade shows throughout the year. There's a basic outline for how the year may play out, but in an industry where poor sales can immediately sink a developer, guessing basic narratives is almost impossible.

I have a confession to make: I still haven’t bought a NextGen console. You’re probably thinking, “Why the hell should I believe anything this guy says when he’s not even in the current generation!” Totally fair, but to be honest, any game that people may come close to deeming a “system seller” isn’t going to be released until 2014.

There were perhaps no bigger shoes to fill than those of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, who is arguably the greatest coach/manager of all time in any sport. In about 26 years as club manager, he won five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions League titles and an astounding 13 English Premier League championships.

Well, it’s pretty much official. Multiple sources are telling reporters that Johnny Manziel has selected an agent and will forego two whole years of NCAA eligibility for the riches and, more importantly to him, the freedom of the National Football League.

With the Packers’ winless record since Aaron Rodgers’ injury, word has begun to spread that Rodgers may miss the remainder of the season. There has also been speculation that he could return as soon as Sunday to play the Falcons.
