The No. 15/17 Wisconsin men’s basketball team (9-5 Big Ten, 20-7
overall) rebounded from a disappointing loss at Michigan State
Thursday night to beat the Penn State Nittany Lions (4-11, 12-16)
Saturday, 65-55.
(02/17/12 5:42am)
Junior forward Ryan Evans led the team in scoring with 17
points. This was not enough, however, for the Badgers to win.
(02/17/12 5:40am)
Just when it seemed as if the Wisconsin men's basketball was
hitting its stride, the No. 15/17 Badgers (8-5 Big Ten, 19-7
overall) simply didn't show up to play in Thursday night's 69-55
loss to No. 7/8 Michigan State (10-3, 21-5).
(02/10/12 5:42am)
The No. 21/22 Wisconsin men's basketball team (8-4 Big Ten, 19-6
overall) rebounded from its most recent loss against Ohio State,
albeit not easily, as it defeated Minnesota (5-7, 17-8) in the
190th meeting of the Border Battle Thursday night, 68-61 in
overtime. This was the Badgers' first win at The Barn since
2008.
(02/01/12 5:10am)
The Wisconsin men's basketball team (7-3 Big Ten, 18-5 overall)
got its sixth straight win Tuesday night and now stand alone in
second place in the Big Ten, but it did not come as easy as maybe
one would have suspected against a 12-loss Penn State team.
(01/31/12 5:35am)
Ryan Evans and the Wisconsin defense will have to contain the
Big Ten’s leading scorer, Penn State guard Tim Frazier.
(01/31/12 5:33am)
The No. 19/20 Wisconsin men’s basketball team (6-3 Big Ten, 17-5
overall) will head into Saturday’s Big Ten matchup with Penn State
(2-7 Big Ten, 10-12 overall) riding high after extending its
winning streak to five games with a victory over No. 17 Indiana,
57-50, Thursday night.
(01/30/12 2:49am)
And with the drop of a Ryan Evans bucket, game clock reading 2.6
seconds left, the hopes of a comeback sink and so do the spirits of
the Indiana players.
(01/30/12 2:45am)
Showing Ryan Evans how its done, the red-headed wonder junior
forward Mike Bruesewitz slams down a hard dunk, leaving two Indiana
players frustrated.
(01/30/12 2:42am)
Layups seem to work a little bit better for Wisconsin's Ryan
Evans as he goes around Indiana guard Jordan Hulls (1) in the
second half.
(01/30/12 2:39am)
Though his dunking skills may be on-and-off, Wisconsin redshirt
junior guard/forward Ryan Evans (5) tried to get in on the blocking
fun against Indiana forward Derek Elston (32).
(01/30/12 2:36am)
Though it looks fantastic, Wisconsin redshirt junior
guard/forward Ryan Evans (5) learned that his ball-palming skills
needs definite work as he loses control of a possible easy dunk.
The ball would fall right into Wisconsin's Mike Bruesewitz's hands
and a battle for the ball would ensue.

Wisconsin men's basketball is no longer unbeatable in Madison
having lost three at home this season. Thursday night, however, the
Kohl Center remained a house of horrors for Indiana as the No. 25
Badgers (6-3 Big Ten, 17-5 overall) knocked off the No. 17 Hoosiers
(4-5, 16-5) 57-50.
(12/14/11 6:12am)
MILWAUKEE—Leading by 17 points with just over 15 minutes left in
the game, it seemed as if the Wisconsin men's basketball team (9-2
overall) would have no trouble picking up its first true road win
of the young season. But after UW-Milwaukee (2-0 Horizon, 8-3
overall) responded with a 21-4 run over the next 10 minutes, the
Badgers immediately had a fight on their hands. However, thanks in
large part to a clutch three-pointer in the final minute made by
senior guard Jordan Taylor, Wisconsin got out of Milwaukee with a
60-54 victory.
(12/13/11 4:54am)
Ryan Evans and the rest of the Badger front court’s play appears
to be improving after an inconsistent start to the season.
(12/13/11 4:52am)
Having seemingly gotten back on their feet after two consecutive
losses to top-10 teams North Carolina and Marquette, the No. 14/15
Wisconsin men’s basketball team (8-2 overall) now faces its final
road test of the non-conference schedule as it visits in-state
rival UW-Milwaukee (2-0 Horizon League, 8-2 overall) Tuesday
night.

The end of the year, as well as the season's characteristic gold
rush of high-caliber cinema, is upon us. And what better time to
take in all the Oscar-minded flicks flooding into theaters or catch
up on gems passed over from earlier this year than the glorious
month of little-to-no responsibility that lies before us, just
beyond that abysmal week-which-shall-not-be-named. While there are
still a few films I'm highly anticipating over break-namely
"Shame," "Young Adult," "The Artist" and "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier,
Spy"-I'd still like to take this time procrastinating from studying
to compile my top 10 of 2011 (so far) list.
(12/08/11 7:29am)
After two straight losses, the No. 16 Wisconsin men’s basketball
team got back on track against in-state foe UW-Green Bay. The
Badgers (7-2 overall) looked like a team on a mission and soundly
defeated the Phoenix (4-5 overall, 2-0 Horizon), 70-42.

At 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Wisconsinites and Green Bay Packers
fans worldwide had the chance to buy a $250 piece of paper that
means practically nothing.

After capturing the inaugural Leaders Division title Saturday,
the Wisconsin football team (6-2 Big Ten, 10-2 overall) is
preparing to take on rival Michigan State (7-1, 10-2) for the Big
Ten Championship in a highly anticipated rematch.
