With a student population approaching 50,000 students, the University of Wisconsin-Madison enrolled just 112 Indigenous students this academic year, raising questions about exclusionary systems and practices in higher education institutions.

Wunk Sheek garden provides community for Indigenous students at UW-Madison

Planted in the summer of 2021, the Wunk Sheek community garden is a critical component of the indigenous student organization’s programming at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
