Playing in its first exhibition game of the fall season, the Wisconsin softball team (2-0 overall) defeated visiting Kirkland Community College in a double header Sunday at Goodman Softball Complex, 4-0 and 11-2.

The Bradley softball team (9-14 Missouri Valley, 19-28 overall) stood no chance against junior pitcher Meghan McIntosh Tuesday night at Goodman Diamond in Madison. McIntosh’s performance propelled the Badgers (12-6 Big Ten, 31-15 overall) to a 2-0 win.

Softball: Wisconsin set face in-state rival Green Bay

Fresh off starting a six-game home stand with a win against Bradley, the Wisconsin softball team (12-6 Big Ten, 31-15 overall) squares off against in-state rival Green Bay (10-11 Horizon League, 21-23 overall) for a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. Wisconsin leads the all-time series 24-9-1, including 15-6-1 at Goodman Diamond.

Softball: Badgers fall one spot in Big Ten with series loss

Despite earning its school-record 12th Big Ten win of the season, the Wisconsin Badgers softball team (12-6 Big Ten, 30-15 overall) fell to the second-place Purdue Boilermakers (12-5 Big Ten, 30-17 overall) in a crucial series that carried a lot of weight in the Big Ten standings this past weekend.

Do not expect the Wisconsin softball team (11-4 Big Ten, 27-13 overall) to take the pedal off the metal now that they are in the final stretch of the season and have a quick break from the Big Ten schedule. The Badgers hope to keep their four-game winning streak alive when they host the Indiana State Sycamores (13-7 Missouri Valley, 18-26 overall) Wednesday afternoon at Goodman Diamond.

Softball: Nittany Lions up next

Producing runs has not been a problem this year for the Wisconsin softball team (8-4 Big Ten, 24-13). Last weekend, in a 10-7 shootout win over the Fighting Illini of Illinois, the Badgers were able to generate offense on the back of a school-record six homeruns.
