After the Wisconsin men's soccer team (2-3-0) dropped their third
decision in a row, head coach John Trask commented
that his team does not do well on Friday-Sunday games, a problem
that goes back to the 2010 season. The Badgers have one last chance
this fall to erase it.

Hiring a new head coach for the 2011 season, the Wisconsin softball
team started down a long road toward turning the program around.
Perhaps in a testament to the leadership of head coach Yvette Healy
or to the will of the team to turn a new page, the Badgers have
proven their ability to play with the best in the Big Ten
Conference.

The Wisconsin football team took to the field at Camp Randall
Stadium Saturday for the first time since its 70-23 routing of
Northwestern over Thanksgiving weekend. This time, however, there
was no opponent standing on the opposite sideline. This time, Camp
Randall played host to the annual spring football game.

Head coach Bret Bielema received the news over the weekend that
redshirt junior quarterback Curt Phillips will miss the 2011 season
after requiring another procedure on his knee. This could turn out
to be a big blow for Bielema and the Badgers as Phillips was
consider in the running for the starting quarterback position this
fall.

A women's collegiate hockey record crowd descended on the Kohl
Center Saturday night to witness the No.1 Wisconsin women's hockey
team (24-2-2, 18-2-2-2 WCHA) defeat No. 4 Minnesota (18-7-2,
13-7-2-1 WCHA). The 10,668 in attendance set the single-game record
for an NCAA women's hockey game, eclipsing the previous record of
8,263 set by the Badgers at the Culver's Camp Randall Hockey
Classic last February.

Wisconsin women's hockey team (11-2-0 WCHA, 15-2-0 overall)
continued their conference dominance, sweeping the No. 8 North
Dakota Fighting Sioux (7-6-2, 8-7-2) and taking home six

Reaching the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament for the first
time since the 2003 season, the No. 7 seed Wisconsin men's soccer
team faced the No. 3 seed Michigan Wolverines. Winning the regular
season matchup between these two teams, the Wolverines were the

contest, the Badgers had gone into overtime seven times. In those
seven games, Wisconsin went 0-5-2, not exactly the results a team
