The Badgers will probably want to throw away the tape from tonight as the Wolverines ran away with a 77-51 victory in Ann Arbor. The Badgers shot under 30% from the field while Michigan shot 51% in what was easily the Badgers’ sloppiest performance of the season.

The No. 8 Badgers (3-1 Big Ten, 9-2 overall) could tie Illinois for second in the Big Ten tonight as they take on the Indiana Hoosiers (2-2 Big Ten, 7-4 overall) in the Kohl Center. The Badgers will be playing their first game in 2021 due to the cancellation of Sunday’s contest at Penn State.

The No. 6 Badgers (3-1 Big Ten, 9-2 overall) bid adieu to 2020 by running the No. 21 Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-2 Big Ten, 9-2 overall) out of the Kohl Center by a score of 71-59. Gard’s squad was able to almost entirely shut down Minnesota’s offense including star point guard Marcus Carr, who scored 10 points on 11 field goals.

You could say that No. 12 Michigan State (0-2 Big Ten, 6-2 overall) got lampooned on national television. You could say that the ninth-ranked Badgers (2-0 Big Ten, 8-1 overall) would not be going Home Alone without a win in their pocket. You could say that the Badgers seniors delivered like some Christmas Mail (yes, that’s a real movie). Or, you could keep it simple, and say that the Badgers took down the Spartans by a score of 85-76 to snap their 12-game losing streak at the Breslin Center.

Well folks, the 6-1 Wisconsin Badgers managed to make it through their seven non-conference games relatively unscathed, save for a heartbreaker in Milwaukee. In these games the veteran squad has proven themselves as a team that, as every college basketball pundit has put it, “won’t beat themselves.” But now, the truly challenging part of the schedule begins: conference play.

The Badgers (5-1) will remain at the Kohl Center Saturday afternoon to finally complete their leg of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge as they take on the Louisville Cardinals (4-0) at noon. The Cardinals come to Madison in the wake of the Badgers’ victory over Loyola-Chicago by a score of 77-63.

The 12th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers (4-1) are set to take on the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers (3-0) at the Kohl Center on Tuesday night. The Badgers were initially set to take on Northern Iowa, but the program decided to cancel the remainder of their 2020 schedule, so the Badgers scheduled an even tougher mid-major team instead.

Wednesday night’s contest at the Kohl Center between the No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers (2-1) and the Rhode Island Rams (3-2) was certainly unexpected, to say the least. After Friday’s heartbreaking loss to Marquette, the Badgers faced plenty of uncertainty regarding not only their level of play, but also who they would play next.

It’s almost impossible to believe that it’s been an entire year since Juice Wrld passed away from an accidental codeine and oxycodone overdose in Chicago. As cliche as it may be, his music has lived on in the hearts and minds of his millions of fans. His 5.9 billion Spotify streams this year prove that, but they don't tell the full story.

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: the Wisconsin Badgers have lost a heartbreaker.

As more and more college football games get cancelled each week, we as fans and sportswriters alike cling to any shred of normalcy that we can. This year’s Heisman candidates have given us exactly that; all of the reasonable candidates are quarterbacks, the position that has taken home nine of the last ten trophies. Some of the candidates were expected to be on this list coming into the season. Others, not so much. Without further ado, here are some of the top players in the Heisman race this year.

If you’re like me right now, you’re spending your days in your twin-size childhood bed after a pair of unexpected positive COVID-19 tests. Yeah, you were safer than normal — read: stopped going to frat parties and bars — the last week you were in Madison, and you tested negative twice before coming back, but that goddamn baby that was bawling its eyes out from Chicago to Newark probably gave it to you. Stop crying and put a mask on you little shit.

The No. 4 Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team (2-0) will look to extend their 10-game winning streak going back to last season against the UW-Green Bay Phoenix (0-1). The game comes at the heels of the Badgers’ walloping of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday night.

As we hurtle towards a NCAA basketball season like none before it, analysts and beat writers are sharpening their basketball senses by watching old film, reading up on new players, checking stats and box scores from last year and finalizing their season previews. Everyone watches and reads to get ready for the season, but who truly listens to prepare?

On Aug. 26, in a statement to University of Wisconsin-Madison students and staff on preparations for the fast-approaching semester, Chancellor Rebecca Blank wrote that the university was “working with fraternities and sororities to help those living in chapter houses arrange for their own quarantine and isolation spaces.”
