The Daily Cardinal encourages comments on news coverage, editorial policy and UW-Madison affairs. Letters to the editor can be sent to letters@dailycardinal.com or via this online form.

• Letters should include the writer's full name, major and year at the university if a student; title and department if faculty or staff; or degree and year of graduation if an alumnus.
