A vehicle struck two pedestrians on University Avenue Monday night, causing police to block off a portion of the road and reroute traffic for over an hour.

Madison Police Department Sgt. Sue Armagost said the victims, one male and one female, were taken to UW-Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Both remain in stable condition.
