Madison police are investigating the case of a 21-year-old man who was found in critical condition Saturday in an alley near campus. 

‘Seriously injured’ 21-year-old found in alley near campus

A seriously injured man was found in an alley near the Lowell Center over the weekend, the Madison Police Department said Monday.

The 21-year-old was found Saturday around 2:34 a.m. in an alley at the intersection of North Frances Street and Langdon Street, MPD Public Information Officer Joel DeSpain said in an incident report.

The man told first responders he had fallen, although police are still investigating how he was hurt.

He was taken to a hospital and found to be in critical but stable condition with head and arm injuries.

Police cannot disclose any additional information until the injury report has been completed, according to MPD Records Unit.
