Sexual assault occurs after suspect, victim meet at Wando's

A 26-year-old woman was sexually assaulted after meeting a man at Wando’s on University Avenue and accompanying him back to his apartment.

The suspect and victim were previously unknown to each other, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

The suspect reportedly assaulted the victim at his apartment before she was able to leave, according to the report.

The suspect is “Male Indian or Hispanic, approx 24 yoa, 5'7", average build, long black hair, wearing black turban,” according to the report.

No weapons were used during the assault, and the incident is still under investigation.
