Woman punched, robbed outside Sotto

In a four-against-one robbery, suspects hit a 24-year-old Madison woman in the face and stole her purse Sunday morning on the 300 block of North Henry Street, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Police are currently looking for the four suspects, two women and two men. The first man, described as black with short-buzzed hair, approximately 5-foot-8-inches tall and between the ages of 23 and 24, allegedly first approached the victim outside Sotto flirtatiously, MPD Public Information Officer Joel DeSpain wrote in the report.

Shortly thereafter, the first woman, claiming to be the man’s girlfriend then attacked the victim with a blow to the head. She is described as white with light brown hair and approximately 5-foot-4-inches tall and between the ages of 23 and 24, according to the report.

After the hit, the suspects grabbed the purse, and ran off with two additional suspects, an unidentified male and a second woman, described as white with blonde hair, approximately 5-foot-5-inches tall between the ages of 24 and 25.
