Madison mayoral hopefuls will face off Tuesday in a primary election, with the two candidates receiving the most votes advancing to the general election April 17.
The candidates include incumbent Mayor Paul Soglin, Ald. Scott Resnick, District 8, former Ald. Bridget Maniaci, District 2, UW-Madison graduate Christopher Daly and former Dane County Supervisor Richard Brown.
In separate races, aldermanic candidates in Districts 1 and 14 will also be seeking to advance to the general election.
Candidates in District 1 include Matt Brink, Sandra Dickman and Barbara McKinney. Candidates in District 14 include incumbent Ald. John Strasser, Sheri Carter and Linda Franklin.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Prospective voters can find their polling locations on Madison’s Office of the City Clerk website.
