The Overture Center Foundation announced veteran performing arts executive Ted DeDee as its new CEO Tuesday.
Effective April 2, DeDee will replace Tom Carto, who withdrew from the position to pursue other opportunities.
DeDee is currently the director of a performing arts center in Ohio and has 35 years of experience in managing performing arts facilities across the country.
"We will face challenges, to be sure, as any new organization does. But this board is engaged, the staff is incredibly dedicated and talented, and the community is ready to help us grow and thrive," DeDee said. "I am very optimistic, excited and ready to get to work."
The Overture Center Foundation, formerly the Overture Center for the Arts, has been transitioning to new management since the beginning of the year.
"Ted's entrepreneurial spirit and record of success at opening new, exciting artistic spaces is just what Overture needs at this moment in its history," OCF chair Deirdre Garton said.
